May 6 - Panalpina World Transport has opened a dedicated logistics centre for the oil and gas industry at Loyang Offshore Supply Base in Singapore.

The new terminal offers 7,000 sq m of indoor storage facilities and 14,000 sq m in open yard space, raising Panalpina's overall warehousing to more than 30,000 sq m.

Through collaboration with the group's other oil and gas centres in Houston, Aberdeen and Dubai, the new facility is expected to enhance Panalpina's global network while solidifying Singapore's position as a key logistics hub.

Said Panalpina Singapore oil and gas manager Adrian Stoll: "Despite the crisis, Panalpina in south east Asia stayed its course and continued with the various projects already started or planned."
