October 17 - Mexico-based Portlog International and Belgium-based Polytra have transported rotation equipment from Monterrey, Mexico to Antwerp, Belgium.
The unit, which measured 6.5 m x 3.8 m x 3.8 m and weighed 16.5 tons (15 tonnes), was loaded in San Nicolas de los Garza onto a lowbed trailer for the transport to the Port of Altamira.
The total height of the cargo, when loaded onto a 40 ft flatrack on the lowbed trailer, measured 5.1 m. Due to the height of the convoy, a road survey had to be completed for the overland transport in Mexico.
According to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), of which both Portlog International and Polytra are members,the cargo will be transported onward from Antwerp to Liege.
