Alistair completes Tanzanian lifts

January 2 - Alistair Group has stepped up its involvement in two power plant projects in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Alistair mobilised a 60-tonne lifting capacity crane to assist with maintenance work at the Kinyerezi 1 power station. It also provided an extra 60-tonne capacity crane, a 4-tonne telehandler and eight riggers, to support a 250-tonne crawler crane at the Kinyerezi 2 power plant project.

Having completed the final 99-tonne heavy lift at Kinyerezi 2, the 250-tonne capacity crawler had its boom fully extended to 60 m in order to carry out the necessary finishing works.
