PAC invests in Baltimore terminals

Ports America Chesapeake (PAC) has implemented the Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS) at the Seagirt and Dundalk marine terminals at the port of Baltimore.

The TOS is part of PAC’s USD142 million investment in equipment and infrastructure. PAC vice president, Bayard Hogans, explained: “We strive to be ahead of curve with technology advancements to foster continued success in the port of Baltimore, adding to Maryland’s economy.

“Adopting a modern, streamlined TOS like N4 will provide stability and yield results as we push our capacity goals further and support sustainable growth of the port.”

The TOS will optimise daily terminal tasks including container handling, vessel planning, yard utilisation and crane scheduling.
