May 1 - Whilst cargo throughput at the JSC Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg (SPSP) was over 1.8 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2017, which is 4.6 percent more than during the same period of 2016, volumes of project, heavy and oversized cargoes remaine

SPSP says the growth was mainly due to the increased handling of general cargoes, as well as a significant growth in container traffic.

There was also a significant fall in the volumes of scrap metals and ro-ro cargoes.
