November 29 - Lifting and marine product specialist Rigmarine has opened its fourth global facility in Insch to the northwest of Aberdeen, Scotland.

The facility, which Rigmarine says is strategically positioned to serve the offshore oil and gas, renewables, construction, breakbulk, shipping and marine industries, joins the company's other locations in Baku, Azerbaijan; Aktau, Kazakhstan; and Sharjah, UAE.

Mike Duncan, managing director of the Gaylin Group - which owns Rigmarine - said: "The facility gives Aberdeen a new source of heavy lift rigging available on short or long-term rental at respectable prices and with low lead times."

Duncan added that Rigmarine's new facility will hold a large stock of heavy lift equipment, as well as a range of subsea lifting materials, including winches, spreader beams and load monitoring equipment.
