September 5 - Sarjak Container Lines has transported equipment for a coal/ash handling plant for the 1,000 MW coal-fired Tanjung Bin power plant in Malaysia.

Sarjak handled the move on behalf of ThyssenKrupp Industries India, which manufactured the equipment at its Pune and Hyderabad plants in India for Alstom.

Sarjak's servicing, loading, transport and supervisory team worked in close cooperation to facilitate the smooth movement of cargo for the project, from India's Port of Chennai and Jawaharlal Nehru Port, to Tanjiung Pelapas in Malaysia.

Sarjak loaded and shipped 16 over-dimensional cargoes on flatrack containers for the project. The largest unit weighed in at 35 tonnes, with the dimensions 10.89 m x 5.74 m x 4.55 m.

The company handled a total of 301 containers for the project in 2013, and 458 containers in 2014.
