February 27 - The TII Group has introduced an upgraded version of its Scheuerle-Kamag 25 modular platform trailer.

The manufacturer of vehicles with hydraulically-supported pendulum axles says that the Scheuerle-Kamag K25M can accommodate greater payload and helps to facilitate permit approval processes particularly in Europe, where there are stringent applicable axle load restrictions.

The new vehicle can be coupled with the heavy-duty Scheuerle-Kamag K25H series as well as vehicles of other manufacturers.

A number of vehicles have been delivered to the French transport and service provider, AltéAd, which has also ordered a range of equipment for use in the transportation of wind turbines.

"Less dead weight means more payload and a simplified (permit) approval process," said Bernd Schwengsbier, president TII Sales.

Growing competitive pressures, axle load limitations and infrastructure problems have led to an increased demand for lightweight modular transport solutions in all load ranges across Europe, says TII group.

The K25M comes in two and six-axle modules, which can also be supplied as a separable split version on request. The comprehensive range of accessories of the K25H series is also fully compatible with the K25M.
