August 4 - Following a series of repair and renewal jobs by Shipdock Amsterdam, part of Damen Shiprepair & Conversion, the two jack-up vessels Seajacks Leviathan and Seajacks Kraken are ready for their upcoming assignments.

Seajacks UK assigned the shipyard to make various different adjustments to the two sister vessels in between North Sea offshore wind farm and oil and gas installation contracts.

Seajacks Leviathan had its blade racks cut loose and removed after completion of a wind turbine and propeller blade operation, before the self-propelled jack-up had a heli deck installed.

Shipdock Amsterdam's major work on Seajacks Kraken involved the replacement of the vessel's two entire lifeboat davit sets, which included installing Niron Staal prefabricated foundations and the four new davits with their power pack, cable, winch, electricity and hydraulic systems.

Furthermore, Seajacks Kraken's four legs were restored after an initial joint inspection round with the principal's inspectors.
