Construction progresses for Wagenborg newbuild

The first sections of Royal Wagenborg’s newbuild multipurpose vessel have been transported from the construction hall to the quayside at the Royal Niestern Sander shipyard in the Netherlands.

The vessel will be the second EasyMax-type ship in Wagenborg’s fleet. The first, Egbert Wagenborg, was delivered in 2017.

The ship will measure 149.95 m in length and have a load capacity of 14,000 tons (12,700.6 tonnes). The ship design was developed by Wagenborg and Niestern Sander,

Construction of the second vessel began in April 2019. Delivery is planned for October 2021.
