DEME names Vandenbulcke

Luc Vandenbulcke will succeed Alain Bernard as ceo of the DEME Group, effective January 1, 2019.

Vandenbulcke, founder and ceo of GeoSea, part of the DEME Group, has worked at the Belgian company for the past 21 years. Most recently, Vandenbulcke also served as DEME’s deputy chief operating officer and member of the management team.

From the beginning of next year, Bernard, who has been ceo since 2006, will continue to support the growth of the group serve as director of DEME and its affiliated companies, as well as chairman of the board of DEME Concessions and Global Sea Mineral Resources (GSR).
