End in sight for Hansa Heavy Lift

Dr. Christoph Morgen, preliminary insolvency administrator of Hansa Heavy Lift, has confirmed that the Hamburg-headquartered shipping line "will no longer have a business model at its disposal from March 2019 onwards".

The full statement from Dr. Christoph Morgen suggests that the technical business will no longer remain with Hansa Heavy Lift and therefore the company will have no business to operate.

Hansa Heavy Lift filed for insolvency in December, with the Spliethoff Group confirming that it had acquired five vessels from the line's fleet in January of this year.
