Former Hansa duo to lead LOC Hamburg

Marine and engineering consultancy LOC has opened an office in Hamburg as it aims to develop its renewables and shipping services in Europe. 

The office will be led by Christoph Ruck and Emek Ersin Takmaz, both former Hansa Heavy Lift employees. 

Ruck is a naval architect and welding engineer with nine years of experience working with German shipowning companies specialised in the heavy lift and project logistics business. He also has five years of experience with classification society DNV GL

Takmaz, who is also a naval architect, was previously responsible for heavy lift and project cargo operations across the renewable energy, infrastructure and oil and gas sectors at Hansa Heavy Lift.

Dr R.V. Ahilan, ceo of LOC Group, said: “The opening of our German office marks an exciting and important strategic step for the group, as we look to expand our shipping and renewables offering in Europe.”
