GeoSea wins Borssele contract

Ørsted has awarded GeoSea, part of the DEME Group, a contract for the transportation and installation of 94 foundations for the Borssele 1 and 2 offshore wind farms in the Netherlands.

94 wind turbines will be installed at the 752 MW projects, located 23 km off the Dutch coast.

Under a separate contract, A2SEA, a subsidiary of GeoSea, will provide the vessels to transport and install the 94 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines.

The monopile foundations will be installed in water depths ranging from 14 m to 36 m during 2020 by vessels from the GeoSea fleet.
