Swire boosts North Asia-Pacific services

Effective July 2018, Swire Shipping will upgrade its multipurpose liner shipping services between North Asia and the Pacific, adding direct calls at the Chinese ports of Nansha and Ningbo.

Swire Shipping said that the enhanced services would provide a ten-day frequency between North Asia and Papua New Guinea. The carrier added that other markets served by its North Asia service – including Townsville (Australia), Noumea (New Caledonia), the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and New Zealand – would benefit from increased connectivity with the Chinese market.

Donald Fraser, Swire Shipping’s general manager for liner trades, said: “Swire Shipping is committed to developing and upgrading our services and are delighted to provide our customers with this latest set of improvements. In particular, there will be a sailing every ten days from China to Papua New Guinea, complementing our ten-day Southeast Asia-Paua New Guinea and Australia-Papua New Guinea services.”
