August 21 - Egyptian Transportation & Logistics (ETAL) has transported seven 35-tonne steel girders from the Arab Contractors Shipyard in Ismailia to Alexandria.

The steel girders, which have the dimensions 38 m x 1 m x 1.6 m, were transported over 420 km by road.

ETAL, which specialises in the movement of heavy and out-of-gauge cargo, is wholly owned by Egytrans.

Hussam Leheta, chairman and ceo of Egytrans, said that although just seven girders have been moved so far, there are "many more to come".

ETAL is using Faymonville's TeleMAX trailers to complete this project. Faymonville explained that due to its extending load platform, the TeleMAX flatbed semi-trailer is ideally suited to the transport of particulalry long or bulky loads.

The trailer manufacturer added that its lightweight design and steering angle also guarantee optimum manoeuvrability with the highest possible payload.
