Effective May 2018, Swire Shipping will add direct calls at Xingang on its Pacific North Asia (PNA) service.

This new port call extends the coverage that Swire Shipping already offers throughout North Asia with direct sailings from China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan to key South Pacific markets and the shipping line's wider global network.

From Xingang the service offers direct discharge at the ports of Majuro (Marshall Islands); Kiribati; Lautoka and Suva (Fiji); Pago Pago (American Samoa); Apia (Samoa); Nuku'alofa (Tonga); Noumea (New Caledonia); and Santo (Vanuatu).

The first direct call at Xingang will be made by Swire Shipping's Coral Chief and the company says the service enhancement is part of a continuous improvement of its sailing frequencies, transit times and coverage into the South Pacific.

Swire Shipping's fleet of multipurpose vessels is capable of carrying a wide range of general cargoes (including heavy and bulky project commodities), bulk parcels, as well as containerised cargoes.
