Tampa set to welcome Crowley liner services

August 1 - HLPFI understands that Crowley Liner Services will add the port of Tampa to its regular Central American ro-ro service.

Local media reports suggest that port calls will be added in September to the service which calls in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Panama, Costa Rica and Guatemala and can accommodate rolling, breakbulk and project cargoes.

Further schedule information will be provided when we receive details from Crowley of sailing dates.

June 5 - A fire broke out aboard Höegh Autoliners’ ro-ro vessel Höegh Xiamen yesterday (June 4) at Blount Island, Jacksonville, USA; there are no injuries to any of the 21 crew members, who have all been evacuated from the vessel.
