Bergé Maritima has handled wind turbine tower sections at the port of Seville, Spain.

30 wind energy components, manufactured by GRI Seville, were loaded onboard the heavy lift vessel Global Carrier. Each section measured 40 m long and weighed up to 80 tons (72.6 tonnes). They will form part of the Markbygden wind farm in the north of Sweden.

In total, 300 tower sections will be manufactured at GRI’s Seville plant for Germany’s Enercon. This is the second of ten shipments that will move through the port; operations will continue until September.
