October 5 - Esprit's recently re-opened Trafford Docks in Manchester, UK has handled a 130-tonne transformer en-route from South Korea to Stalybridge.

The transformer travelled 15,400 miles (24,783.9 km) by sea, and was transhipped at the Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, before transiting the Manchester Ship Canal to arrive at Trafford Docks.

Upon arrival at Esprit's facilities, Osprey Heavy Lift handled the offloading operations before Allelys Heavy Haulage transported the transformer 21 miles (33.8 km) to the project site.

The refurbishment of the Trafford Park Docks included load testing the quayside, ground borehole testing and installing removable fences, barriers and gates to accommodate overweight and oversized loads.
