May 5 - Universal Transport, a leading heavy load logistics company based in Paderborn, Germany, has acquired a majority stake in fellow German transport specialist Messingschlager, which is based in Hirschaid, south of Bamberg.
Universal Transport has been planning a stronger presence in Upper Franconia and has advised that the renamed Universal Transport Messingschlager, will be led by Karsten Hillebrand and Markus Messingschlager.
Holger Dechant, from Universal Transport's Paderborn management team said:"With its qualified staff and its modern fleet Messingschlager is the ideal complement to our activities in the region."
