September 10 - The Port of Vienna (Hafen Wien) has purchased a new Liebherr LHM 280 mobile harbour crane, which has a maximum lifting capacity of 84 tonnes and an outreach of up to 40 m.
The new crane, which will be used for container and bulk handling, as well as general cargo operations, joins the Port of Vienna's existing Liebherr LHM 1080 model.
The LHM 280 is equipped with Liebherr's Pactronic hybrid drive system, as well as the manufacturer's Cycoptronic system, which it says ensures accurate and sway-free load motion.
