April 5 - Volga-Dnepr Airlines and Chapman Freeborn have worked together to transport a 19-tonne portable welding system from Indonesia to Malaysia on board an IL-76TD-90VD freighter aircraft.
The consignment of welding equipment comprised 11 pieces of cargo, which were loaded into special crates for transportation and lifted on the aircraft in Jakarta using a forklift.
The welding equipment was delivered to Bintulu in order to repair a malfunctioning rotor at a power station that provides electricity to the Malaysian state of Sarawak.
