Project Profile: Petrobras has made a significant oil discovery in the ultra-deep waters of the Potiguar Basin, specifically in the Anhangá exploratory well of the POT-M-762_R15 Concession. The well, named 1-BRSA-1390-RNS (Anhangá), is positioned near the border between Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte states, approximately 190 km from Fortaleza and 250 km from Natal, at a water depth of 2,196 meters, on the Brazilian Equatorial Margin. This marks the second discovery in the Potiguar Basin in 2024, following the identification of hydrocarbons in the Pitu Oeste Well, situated in the BM-POT-17 Concession, about 24 km from Anhangá. Both discoveries are subject to further evaluation. Petrobras operates both concessions independently, holding a 100% stake in each.
