Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporters in the USA have announced plans to more than double the country’s liquefaction capacity, adding an estimated 13.9 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) between 2025 and 2029, according to the US Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) Liquefaction Capacity File.
The U.S. Department of Energy said it would return more than USD13 billion in what it described as “unobligated funds” that has been allocated by the previous administration towards green energy projects.
