The course aims to improve attendees’ technical know-how and is available for project cargo forwarders; breakbulk charterers; logistics managers; project directors; heavy lift specialists, engineers, equipment operators and supervisors; as well as shipping managers and project supply chain professionals.

It will be led by Gert J. Vos, who has around 30 years of experience in the heavy transport and project forwarding sector. He started his career as a project manager back in 1989 at Van Wezel Transport in the Netherlands, which was later taken over by Wagenborg. In 2008, he founded Heavy Transport Training and Consultancy (HTTC) and now works as a consultant, providing in-house training to various multinational engineering and construction companies.

His course comprises seven sections: general knowledge, heavy lift shipping, lifting, exceptional transport, lashing and securing seafreight, lashing and securing road transport, and the test and evaluation.

The technical course will follow the network’s 19th annual general meeting (AGM), taking place at the same location from May 18-20. More information about the course can be accessed here.
