August 7 - The management of Cargolux Airlines International and the two unions representing the workforce at the Luxembourg headquartered carrier - OGBL and LCGB - have come to an arrangement over a collective work agreement (CWA).

On August 6, the three parties reviewed and approved documentation that forms part of a derogation request that will be made by Cargolux to the Luxembourg 'Direction de l'Aviation civile (DAC)'.

On July 26, HLPFI reported that all the three parties came to an agreement over an addendum that will form part of a revised CWA. (http://tinyurl.com/kxdgxcb)

The wording of the derogation request letter has since been agreed between the airline and the unions; it will be finalised on August 7. With all the necessary documents now in place, Cargolux, OGBL and LCGB intend to sign the addendum to the CWA, including all relevant annexures on August 9, 2013.

If all parties sign the documentation the CWA will be reinstated retroactively, effective January 1, 2013 until December 31, 2014.
