Fesco Transportation Group has teamed up with RZD Logistics to launch a multimodal service for containerised cargo from the Asia Pacific region to Europe.

As part of the agreement, the parties plan to develop a route that utilises Fesco’s liner services and regular container trains from countries in the Asia Pacific. The service will also use the Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VMTP), part of the Fesco Group, as a transhipment hub.

“Transit from Asia-Pacific countries to Europe through the Far East will significantly reduce the delivery time in comparison with traditional sea routes or a transit through China,” said Fesco.

“Test transportation within the new service is planned for the end of April. It is expected that car components, consumer goods and food will be delivered to the countries of Central and Western Europe.”
