We are shaking things up for the Heavy Lift Awards 2025 and have refreshed the Ship Operator of the Year categories to better reflect the breadth of capability in the sector – and to combine the expert insight from our esteemed judging panel with peer appreciation.
What’s new?
This year, the updated Ship Operator of the Year categories include:
Ship Operator of the Year – Heavy Lift & Project Cargo, sponsored by Trans Global Projects (TGP)
This award recognises a ship operator whose core business lies in the transportation of heavy lift and project cargoes.
Ship Operator of the Year – Breakbulk, sponsored by Faymonville
This award recognises a ship operator that, while not dedicated solely to heavy lift or project cargo, has made a meaningful and consistent contribution to breakbulk transportation—particularly through container ships, ro-ro vessels, general cargo carriers, or smaller multipurpose tonnage.
Accompanying this is an exciting change to the process for this year’s awards: giving you – the industry – a chance to vote on who you think should take home the trophy!
Our expert panel has nominated and selected the shortlist, and your votes alongside our judge’s will determine our 2025 winners.
Help us celebrate the ship operators driving progress in the sector and vote today!
Voting closes on September 5, with the winners revealed at the Heavy Lift Awards 2025 ceremony on October 22 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
