Pentagon Freight Services has acquired Carlbom Shipping.
Pentagon said the deal would allow it to deliver an expanded service offering to its clients across the UK and Europe, including a full suite of ships agency services supported with fully integrated IT systems.
Carlbom has a strong background in ships agency, has a prominent presence in the Humber region, and boasts experience in servicing offshore wind farms. This will complement Pentagon’s international logistics network in the UK, Europe, Australasia, the Middle East, and the Americas, enabling the combined entity to offer greater levels of coverage to clients across the international maritime and logistics sectors.
