Heavy-duty trailer manufacturer Faymonville has launched its ModulMAX AP-M, a modular unit that combines the supporting assist mode with the independent self-propelled mode.

Faymonville ModulMAX AP-M 6-axle

Faymonville said the ModulMAX AP- M can generate a traction force of up to 1,270 kN from one powerpack unit (PPU). The module’s motorised axles can be engaged and disengaged at any speed up to 40 km/h.

Operators can use up to 10 driven axles in the high-torque-version of the system. The modules build up on a dual-link patented suspension system, which offering a better spread of the forces and bending moments, said Faymonville. The modules offer a stroke of 650 mm and 45 tonnes payload capacity per axle.

The manufacturer added that the ModulMAX AP-M can be combined with conventional 3,000 mm wide Faymonville ModulMAX modules and other brands.
