Terminal San Giorgio sees breakbulk uptick

The ship docked at the Ponte Somalia quay to load 3,500 cu m of cargo and including industrial plant destined for China, steel forgings weighing 100 tonnes each, and crates of various sizes containing machinery for a high-pressure pumping system.

In preparation of the ship’s arrival, the goods were stored by the terminal on high capacity Mafi trailers.

In the first two months of 2024, Terminal San Giorgio has already recorded an increase of breakbulk cargoes of more than 40 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
