Project freight forwarder Trans Global Projects (TGP) has managed the urgent transport by air of two oversized pig launcher units, plus spares and accessories, from the UK to Ras Laffan, Qatar.
One pig launcher unit measured 9.2 m x 1.5 m x 1.59 m, with the other 8.65 m x 1.55 m x 1.66 m. The shipment included seven pieces in total, weighing 30.2 tonnes.
The cargo was collected from Glapwell, UK, packed to meet airline specifications, and transported to Luxembourg for airfreight to Doha. There, TGP oversaw Customs clearance and final delivery to the fabrication site in Ras Laffan.
HLPFI reported earlier this month that TGP had made leadership changes. The company was also on hand recently to deliver transformers and wind turbines for two separate projects.
