Greece-headquartered Cosmatos discharged wind energy components arriving onboard Chipolbrok Pacific at Thessaloniki port, which were in transit to North Macedonia.

Nine complete sets of wind turbines, with a volume of 62,000 cu m, were discharged at the gateway. The heaviest of the 219 units weighed in at 105 tonnes. The Cosmatos scope included unlashing and unwelding works, offloading, port arrangement for temporary storage, and inward Customs clearance formalities.

Agence Maritime Mohab, meanwhile, recently arranged for a surface drilling machine to be loaded in Finland and transported to Helsinki Port, before its delivery to Tunisia.

The drilling machine measured 10.7 m x 2.5 m x 3.6 m and weighed in at 15.2 tonnes. “This over dimensional cargo will be our special gift to end this 2023 year that started with recession activities in the freight forwarding business,” said a spokesperson for the company.

India-headquartered Express Global Logistics (EXG) once again demonstrated its prowess by successfully transporting four heat exchangers from India to Egypt. With a collective volume of 1,426 cu m, the items weighed in at nearly 3,000 tonnes.  Two units measuring 40.7 m x 3.5 m x 3.75 m, while the other pair measured 12.5 m x 4.15 m x 3.45 m each.

EXG said that it exceeded its customer’s expectations by comfortably meeting the scheduled delivery deadlines, while eliminating any waiting periods at the loading port. One of the main challenges was finding a suitable heavy lift vessel.
