September 26 - In an attempt to elevate its outreach the Port of Corpus Christi, Texas, has entered the world of social media at full speed, and can now be followed on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn.

In light of the current social media phenomenon, the Port has expanded its marketing reach using this new medium, in a strategy to make its customer experience more user-friendly.

"It is important for the Port to stay relevant in the digital era, and we have to adapt to it, so we are providing our customers with the opportunity to communicate not only through traditional outlets but also through social channels," says executive director of the Port, John LaRue.
