Allianz appoints Khanna

May 23 - Allianz Group's specialist corporate insurer, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed Captain Rahul Khanna as global head of marine risk consulting, effective July 1, 2014.

In this position, Khanna will be responsible for developing and executing the marine risk consulting and loss prevention services across all regions globally, leading a team of 20 consisting of former captains, maritime experts and maritime engineering based in Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific regions.

Khanna joined Allianz in 2011 and in his new role he will replace Tim Donney who is retiring in early July.

May 24 - The USA is removing steel and aluminium tariffs imposed on Canada and Mexico under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, with all retaliatory tariffs on US goods and any pending litigation also coming to an end.
