Cargolux board elects Helminger as chairman

January 15 - The Cargolux Airlines International board of directors has elected Paul Helminger (pictured below) as its chairman. He replaces Albert Wildgen, who relinquished the role on November 30 2012.

Alphonse Berns, Paul Mousel and Patrick Nickels were also appointed as directors to the board.

The management restructure follows the acquisition by the Luxembourg State of a 35 percent in the carrier from Qatar Airways on December 31 2012.

Cargolux is an all-cargo airline and operates a fleet of six B747-8 and eleven B747-400 freighters.
