Project freight forwarder deugro has followed up its scope of work for Ineos Project One by successfully delivering another shipment from the UAE and Oman to the port of Antwerp, Belgium.
Back in January 2025, HLPFI reported that deugro had delivered critical equipment from China for Ineos Project One. That delivery was 52,600 sq m worth of equipment, including a 430-tonne modular building measuring 28.94 m x 14.4 m x 6.65 m.
For this delivery, the cargo components were collected at the ports of Hamriyah, UAE and Sohar, Oman and delivered to the port of Antwerp in June 2025. deugro UK acted as the central project control tower, working alongside deugro teams from Belgium, UAE, Oman and dteq Transport Engineering Solutions. All cargo was delivered safely and on time.
“This is… one of the most complex [shipments] due to the nature of the cargo and locations,” said Ben Cunnington, country manager UK at deugro. “deugro offices in Belgium, the UK, the UAE and Oman were all involved, with representatives present for all the loading and unloading operations of the cargo.”
Giovanni Nigro, naval architect/transport engineer at dteq, added: “The biggest challenge was ensuring a detailed loading plan was in place, especially as we had a combination of cargoes of various sizes and weights to be lifted on board and also rolled on using SPMTs.
“Working alongside the client, port authorities, local deugro teams, the project owner, and the carrier Rolldock we were able to design the loading plan to achieve an efficient and cost-effective solution for both port calls.”
Earlier this year, deugro coordinated the transport of equipment to a large-scale carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) facility in Lengfurt, Germany.
