Chapman Freeborn announces new shareholder structure

May 5 - The Chapman Freeborn Group, the world's largest air charter broker, has introduced a new shareholder structure that will take over from current directors in moving the company forward and ensuring future growth.

Chris Chapman and Carol Norman have sold their stake in Chapman Freeborn to a new management team, headed up by Russi Batliwala, Shahe Ouzounian and Peter Joarder. The three new directors have a long-standing background with the company and will be focusing on the continued development of the CF Group, with Chris and Carol maintaining an active role in helping move the business forward.

Established in 1973, Chapman Freeborn specialises in moving urgent cargo, peacekeeping equipment and humanitarian supplies, heavy and outsize pieces, high value commodities, dangerous goods and AOG parts. The trio will be in charge of the companies' 32 offices worldwide, including two recently opened branches in Brazil and Uganda.

Chris Chapman, founder and chairman of the CF Group of Companies, said: "This decision is about succession planning. Russi, Shahe and Peter have demonstrated over a significant period that they are very worthy inheritors of Chapman Freeborn."
