Collett invests

October 20 - Collett Transport has recently taken delivery of a new, bespoke 110-tonne lift capacity straddle carrier at its MISTRAL Point, Heavy Lift Terminal at Goole in the UK.

A new 400-tonne lift capacity Scheuerle 10-axle SPMT has also been acquired.

As a specialist heavy transport and shipping provider, Collett Transport claims that its five-acre facility is Humberside's only totally dedicated project cargo handling and logistics facility equipped with its own heavy handling equipment. The terminal also has a direct connection to ship handling and loading/unloading facilities in the port of Goole.

Richard Platts, senior project manager, indicated that the introduction of this additional equipment, and continued investment programme in new vehicles and specialist transport equipment, sees Collett Transport further consolidate its position as on of the UK's leading combined heavy transport and specialist shipping and logistics services provider.
