April 20 - John Eastland has been appointed president of Seko Logistics' aerospace and aviation division.
Eastland will oversee the industry vertical from Seko Logistics' office in Washington DC, USA.
He was formerly vice president, domestic product at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. Eastland has also held senior positions at PGL, Estes Forwarding Worldwide and Allstates WorldCargo in the USA.
Seko Logistics established its aerospace and aviation industry vertical at the start of 2016 to reflect its fast growth in the sector. The first of these new locations was opened in Farnborough, UK, a major centre for the country's aerospace industry.
The division provides global aircraft manufacturing support, supplier management, government and defense services, and aviation logistics support for aircraft on ground (AOG) shipments, along with parts for regular maintenance, repair and overhaul operations.
