Eide adds floating crane

October 21 - Eide Lift 6 is the new name of the floating crane which Eide Marine Services has purchased from Aker Marine Contractors.

The crane has a lifting capacity of 400 tonnes and can take deck cargo up to 1,000 tonnes.

Eide Marine Services has been operational within the floating crane market since the 1980s and views the acquisition as a natural enhancement of the company's floating crane fleet, strengthening its position as a leading floating crane operator in Norway.

The crane will be based at Hinna in Stavanger and joins the company's existing four floating cranes which have a lifting capacity from 44 tonnes to 1,800 tonnes.
