BHV said Wendt strengthens the executive board and brings fresh impetus from the younger generation. Wendt added: “My goal is to use my expertise to further advance ro-ro shipping, high-and-heavy shipping, and breakbulk shipping.”

Also joining the executive board is Eduard Dubbers-Albrecht, who is taking on the role as spokesperson for BHV. Managing partner of Ipsen Logistics Holding and former president of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce, he hopes to utilise his extensive network to further “increase the visibility of Bremen’s ports at the federal political level”.

Christoph Holtkemper will serve as the association’s treasurer and Stefan Meyer will assume the role of secretary.

Christoph Bruns and Werner Pöser are retiring from the executive board.
