Flensborg appoints French rep

February 4 - With immediate effect Chilean-born Don Whelan has been appointed French representative to Flensborg and Associates.

Whelan is a senior executive within the maritime industry and since the early 1990s has been managing director and partner of Heestership in Marseille.

He has a strong profile in bulk and breakbulk chartering and a decade-long engagement with East African and Mediterranean services.

"I know Don Whelan from our joint adventure back in the Scan-Trans days.  Gaining access to the French industry is a life-long learning curve - Don Whelan is already on top of it and our clients will greatly benefit from his insight and network whilst enjoying his joyful way of executing," says Anders Flensborg, managing director and founder of Flensborg and Associates GmbH, Munich.
