Kalhagen joins Metro Ports

May 24 - Metro Ports has named Geir-Eilif Kalhagen to the newly-created position of director of northern California and Pacific Northwest.

Joining Metro Ports with 30 years of experience, Kalhagen will focus efforts on business development, acquisitions and growth in the region through terminal expansion and stevedoring. He will also have operational responsibility.

Based in Stockton, California, Kalhagen will report to Metro Ports president Mike Ferguson

He has previously served as ceo of the Port of Longview; general manager of Tidal Transport and Trading; and manager of operations at Star Shipping.
