June 17 - Modulift has appointed I&I Sling as its latest North American distributor, offering coverage of eastern regions of the USA from facilities in Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.
Modulift managing director Sarah Spivey explained that the manufacturer had earmarked I&I Sling - which owns the Slingmax Rigging Solutions brand - as a potential distributor some time ago, but talks only reached advanced stages in April.
As part of the agreement, I&I Sling will stock the full range of Modulift equipment, up to MOD 110H from its heavy lift spreader beam series.
"Thomas De Soo [director], Tim Shears [purchasing manager] and I explored the US market and implemented a strategy through which we can supply our range of below-the-hook equipment to the myriad of industries and applications I&I Sling engages with on a weekly basis," said Spivey.
She added that the company fits with Modulift's regional strategy to supply more equipment to eastern regions of the USA, which Spivey described as a "huge market" for the below-the-hook equipment manufacturer and one where it continues to grow.
