Mike McCoshen has been sworn in as the administrator of the US Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS).
GLS – a wholly owned government corporation and agency of USDOT – is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the US portion of the St. Lawrence Seaway between Montréal and Lake Erie.
McCoshen succeeds Adam Tindall-Schlicht, former port of Milwaukee director.
With more than 45 years of experience in maritime transportation, McCoshen most recently served as president of McCoshen Logistics Solutions. He worked for more than 20 years with Duluth’s Hallett Dock Company, eventually serving as president and chief operating officer. Prior to that, he worked at the BNSF taconite-loading facility in Superior.
