August 7 - SCS Heavy Lifts & Transports has coordinated the delivery and installation of a 150-tonne press between Germany and China.

In order to expedite the shipping process, the press was disassembled over the course of two weeks in Renchen. The components were packed into bespoke cases and containers for their two-week journey to Shanghai port.

Upon arrival in China, the press was loaded on to a 12-axle Goldhofer trailer for oncarriage to Changzhou, some 200 km inland.

Upon arrival at the final factory site, the trailer combination was shortened in order to enter the facility and positioned beneath a gantry crane. In a three-day operation, the press was carefully rotated 90 degrees before being lowered onto its foundations in the factory pit. Thereafter, the associated electrical assemblies were reinstalled.
