C.H. Robinson and Inchcape Shipping raise funds for charity

January 4 - For the third consecutive year, US-headquartered logistics services provider C.H. Robinson - in association with NBA basketball team Minnesota Timberwolves - has supported the FastBreak Foundation's WolvesCare initiative.

Throughout January the foundation will turn its attention to children suffering from chronic illnesses. At each Timberwolves game and at events across the Minnesota region, the FastBreak Foundation WolvesCare initiative will work to make a positive difference in these youngster's lives.

"It is our hope that this month's programming will not only provide positive experiences for these great kids, but also help to build awareness for some of the illnesses they are living with. We are pleased to team up with C.H. Robinson to accomplish these goals," commented Timberwolves president Chris Wright.

 

Inchcape Shipping Services' (ISS) programme - the ISS Lighthouse Relay baton - that is travelling around the world raising money for local charities supporting sick and disadvantaged people has arrived in Sydney, Australia.

The baton containing details of nominated charities from each of the 67 countries where ISS has a presence is working its way around the world. Since setting off from the Inchcape Reef, Arbroath, Scotland, the ISS Lighthouse Relay baton has raised nearly USD125,000.


Over the last six months the baton has travelled across the Far East and Asia -including Hong Kong, China, Taiwan South Korea and Indonesia. The baton will set next set sail from Australia to New Zealand, before travelling to Papua New Guinea and Japan.
