Agility kicks off fund-raising for Lebanese cancer charity

July 19 - Some 300 Lebanese fans of the beautiful game were able to enjoy the recent World Cup final at an outdoor screening of the final match at the Sin el Fil Stadium in Beirut thanks to leading global logistics provider Agility.

The event was a fundraising effort to raise money for the Beirut-based Children's Cancer Centre Lebanon (CCCL). Generous football fans at the event raised USD13,500 for the centre.

Agility has supported CCCL's work with donations and sponsorship for the last six years as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme that focuses on humanitarian relief, community volunteerism and the environment.

Nassib Nasr, CCCL international outreach director said: "Agility shares a long standing relationship with the CCCL that has kept growing over the years. We are especially grateful to Tarek Sultan, chairman and managing director, for his endless support to our cause. We look forward to their continued co-operation in the future as well."

Through its CSR, Agility has participated in over 300 community projects in 52 countries in the last three years. Over 500,000 people in need have been reached through some type of service activity.
